In the morning, walk through the historic citadel district. The Port Museum on the waterfront depicts the maritime history in an exhibition covering several floors. The tour includes stories of the illustrious residents of Dunkirk who shaped the history of the port. Dine at the ‘l’Edito’ waterfront restaurant which used to be a weather station. The chef has ‘carbonade flamande’, fresh chips and salad OR poached salmon steak, champagne sauce, rice pilaf, a drink and a gourmet coffee available. In the afternoon, the ‘Texel’ will take you out to sea in the 3rd largest port in France. Geoffrey, a very knowledgeable seaman, will tell you about his passion for this extraordinary place.
