Asnapio takes you back in time, showing you what kind of places people lived in from prehistoric times to the Middle Ages. These reconstitutions were made based on information on ancestral techniques gleaned from archeaological excavations in the region. This type of experimental archeaology, or movement archeaology, investigates what movements and building techniques were used by our ancestors to build homes in the past, in the same geographical conditions as today. The starting point for visits and guided tours start at a superior Paleolithic tent and take you through Neolithic or Bronze age shelters, to a Gallic farm and a Gallo-Roman villa, and all the way on to Medieval buildings. Educational workshops also take place on a regular basis.
