The castle of Grand Rullecourt, a vast residence made of brick and stone, as was the fashion in the late 18th century, rests upon the foundations of an ancient Flemish castle. From the times of Joan of Arc up to the French Revolution, this building has seen the turbulent history of a whole succession of different owners. Generations of people who went through it all - wars, battles, captures, executions... Nowadays, the current owners are having a much more peaceful time of it, continuing to restore the castle and offering guided tours of the salons and dining room, the chapel and the library, the bedrooms on the first floor and the kitchen. You can also stay at the castle, booknig in to one of the B&B rooms.
