Musée de la Mine et des Traditions Populaires

  • Inspected and accredited by the French museum department (Service des Musées de France)

The local history museum in Escaudain, opened in 1978, is located in the former town hall. A diverse range of objects, costumes and archives related to local life are displayed across a surface area of 300 m², plunging you into the atmosphere of the 20th century. The coal-mining industry and the trades of yesteryear are well illustrated by many examples of tools from that time.
