Musée de la Seconde Guerre Mondiale

Spoken languages : anglais, français

The museum is situated on the coast road between Calais and Wimereux, a few kilometres from Boulogne-sur-mer. Over an area of 800 m2, it tells the story of the last World War, from the Invasion of Poland to the Japanese surrender. Soldiers with all their equipment are displayed, frozen in action, alongside thousands of other exhibits. In the 1940s-style cinema hall, a film with footage from the time brings the Normandy landings and the liberation of Paris back to life.
