Musée de la Vie Rurale

Spoken languages : anglais, allemand, néerlandais

The museum, set in a big traditional farm, tells the story of village life at the beginning of the 20th century. There are thirty-odd reconstructions recounting history up till 1950, as well as demonstrations and shows that bring to life the professions and traditions of yesteryear. You'll see agricultural machines, homes, shops, the school... and naturally, you end up at the tavern, playing the frog game, or another of the many traditional games you can play here. The museum also has a cultural role and regularly puts on concerts, storytelling performances, plays or poetry readings, along with painting, sculpture and photography exhibitions.
