Villa Cavrois

Monument (CROIX)

Spoken languages : français, anglais, allemand

Designed by the architect Robert Mallet-Stevens between 1929 and 1932, the Cavrois villa is considered a masterpiece of modernist Art Deco-style architecture. After the resident family left in 1987, the villa was badly damaged over the years despite having been listed as an "Historical Monument". In 2001, however, the state acquired it and it was once more registered at the Centre for National Monuments, which would take charge of restoration work. Thanks to this, the magnificent residence and its gardens have recovered their former glory and are open to the public.
