This "estaminet" is the highest pub in Flanders. At the top of Mont Cassel, beside the mill, it's a place that has been around for a long time and boasts a well-earned reputation for quality. Emmanuel de Quillacq, who also owns the "Jardins Remarquables" (gardens of special interest, open to the public) on the Mont des Récollets in Cassel, welcomes you to this friendly pub with splendid interior decoration. From here, you have an unobstructed, panoramic view over Cassel and 80 km all around. There are lots of traditional games for you to try. This "estaminet" has a sociable and lively atmosphere, with storytelling evenings and live bands playing traditional music. Food-wise, it's typical Flemish cuisine with lots of sweet / savoury dishes and a number of dishes cooked in beer. The Kasteel Hof also has a wide range of local products for sale in its little shop.
