At the heart of unspoilt countryside, not far from the Belgian border, La Ferme du Bûcheron (named after the local giant) lies deep in nature, surrounded by lush greenery. Set in an old hops drying barn, this cosy little nest of a place is all bricks and character with a decor based on the hops theme. The ground floor seats only 18 and the first floor 12. So make sure you book ahead! The menu follows the same line: small is beautiful. It offers a selection of high-quality, home-made dishes (Flemish carbonade, lasagne, steak and chips). Abbey ales and local beers (3 Monts, Fromulus...) Don't feel like going home after your meal? Book in at one of the 5 quality gites for a restful night on the farm.
