The Slack is a small river near Ambleteuse, which flows into the sea.
On the bank of the river we found tracks of animals that live there: bird footprints, small rabbit droppings.
The sea also brought small shells.
On the other side of the river were dunes.
The dune is sand that the sea has brought and the wind has turned into “little mountains”.
Plants grow on the dune: it is lyme grass, which looks like big grass which you are not allowed to pick, so as not to damage the dune.
