Land of sport, Nord-Pas de Calais shares its passion with all ages through its several hundred recreation and leisure centres.

On the Côte d'Opale, in its nine Stations Kid and its seaside resorts, and inland at its two hundred horse riding farms and recreation centres, you can enjoy a range of activities, including sand yachting, kite surfing, sea kayaking, canoeing, rafting, pony trekking, cycle tourism, sailing, walks in the trees, underwater diving, sea, river and pond fishing, and car/motorbike racing at the Croix-en-Ternois Circuit.

In all over a hundred different activities helping you stay fit at your own pace and do some active tourism at the same time.

In the 14th century the region already had the first amusement park in France, in the royal town of Hesdin. Since then, the modern era has enabled us to rediscover and offer to a wide public this taste for rides with improbable mechanics and this pleasure from healthy collective fright!

A land of celebration, Nord-Pas de Calais has seven of these parks, which are original through being influenced by regional culture with its tales and legends. It also has many animal parks, which are home to creatures from all over the world. 

Devoted to the discovery of animals in their reconstructed environment, they are however, and above all, places for learning respect for the planet’s living beings.

As for lovers of solitary thrills, they will find their pleasure in the middle of excited crowds in the casinos located in the major tourist centres.
